Effective January 1, 2018, CMS expanded the guidance related to collaboration and the role of the assessing clinician as it relates to completing a comprehensive assessment and collecting OASIS data. This expanded guidance is referred to as the "One Clinician Convention.” This updated guidance now allows the assessing clinician to elicit feedback from other agency staff in order to complete any or all OASIS items integrated within the Comprehensive Assessment.
