A reminder that the upcoming reconsideration period for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) is approaching. If a hospice is non-compliant with the HQRP, they will be notified in two ways. The hospice will receive a letter from the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) and a letter in their Certification and Survey Provider Enhanced Reports (CASPER) folder.is anticipated that letters notifying hospices of non-compliance will be distributed in mid-July 2019. The letter will include instructions for submitting a reconsideration.
Hospice’s who receive a letter of non-compliance, will have 30 days to file a reconsideration request.

Hospices that are compliant for APU will not receive any notification.
Please note that this reminder is not an official notification of APU compliance. Hospices are encouraged to check for a notification letter from the MAC and within the CASPER folder regularly in July.
