The Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) Examination can optionally be administered the day following the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy training. The scope of the COS-C exam includes CMS instructions related to the OASIS time points, regulations, patient populations and item specific scoring.
All candidates sitting for a P&P (Paper & Pencil) COS-C exam offered directly after a Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshop will be granted a $50 discount toward the COS-C exam registration.

Helping home health care patients successfully manage medications is key to promoting optimal patient outcomes and preventing adverse events. Accurate completion of the Drug Regimen Review is the first step in this process. This program gives course participants the need-to-know information to successfully manage a medication review with their home care patients. Course participants learn a three-phase approach for drug regimen review including documentation, patient assessment, and drug regimen interpretation. In 2015 CMS added a Star Rating to Home Health Compare (HHC) to help consumers more quickly identify differences in quality among agencies. Since that time, the Quality of Patient Care Star Rating has become a highly visible indicator of agency quality and performance.
Reach for the (FIVE) STARS provides an in-depth look at the 7 outcome and process measures from Care Compare that are used to determine an agency’s composite ranking for the Star Rating. Issues related to OASIS accuracy, measure calculation, clinical implications and strategies for improvement will be discussed. Attendees will leave this workshop with an enhanced understanding of the Star Rating program, its relevant quality measures, and useful strategies to train agency staff and to make improvements in agency-specific QI activities.

This 6.5 contact hour workshop is a fun, innovative wound management program that will help you better understand the different types of wounds impacting home health payment and quality outcomes; and related assessment, treatment, and documentation strategies. Learn the latest on the OASIS wound items, basic wound ICD-10-CM Coding and keep up with the status of wound-related outcome measures. The Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) training program provides agencies with the knowledge to jump-start their internal quality improvement program. This one-day intensive training is geared toward understanding the quality measures in the Model and then applying evidence-based strategies and tools to improve those measures. Agencies will learn how to use their data to understand their unique areas of focus for success in the HHVBP Model.
