“Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy” - Presented Where & When You Need It
The Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy program serves as the premier training for data collectors, is the most popular review workshop for the COS-C exam, and is offered exclusively through OASIS Answers, Inc. – the industry leader in OASIS Education.
This 2-day, 13 hour workshop is highly focused on the current OASIS data collection rules. These rules continue to evolve, and "Blueprint" keeps you up-to-date, always providing the key resources and source documents which you can rely upon after the workshop. Empowering staff with defendable OASIS scoring practices provides your agency with the winning outcomes and proper reimbursement you deserve for the quality care you provide. All sessions are presented by two expert instructors from OASIS Answers’ Blueprint Presenter team.
This workshop is designed:
- To support the educational needs of home health clinicians in achieving comprehension and accuracy in OASIS data collection using guidelines established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- To provide a preparatory review for candidates for the COS-C (Certificate for OASIS Specialist - Clinical) examination.
To provide knowledge and tools necessary to boost confidence and improve data accuracy .

OAI would welcome the opportunity to come to your organization to assist your staff in improving their OASIS skills. We do not limit the size of the group that you send to training – you will only be limited by the size of your venue.
If desired, you may arrange Continuing Education credit (or you may contract with OASIS Answers to provide that optional service).
- A public program allows for you to create a revenue stream by hosting the training.
As a public sponsor, you select the venue, set the registration fees, determine the class size, and choose and implement your own marketing approach.
You have the option of arranging Continuing Education credit if you wish to (or you may contract with OASIS Answers to provide that optional service).
The Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) Examination can optionally be administered the day following the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy training. The scope of the COS-C exam includes CMS instructions related to the OASIS time points, regulations, patient populations and item specific scoring.
All candidates sitting for a P&P (Paper & Pencil) COS-C exam offered directly after a Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshop will be granted a $50 discount toward the COS-C exam registration.

In Person Training - Presented Where & When You Need It
Helping home health care patients successfully manage medications is key to promoting optimal patient outcomes and preventing adverse events. Accurate completion of the Drug Regimen Review is the first step in this process. This program gives course participants the need-to-know information to successfully manage a medication review with their home care patients. Course participants learn a three-phase approach for drug regimen review including documentation, patient assessment, and drug regimen interpretation. Information is also provided on OASIS medication items completion and their relationship to quality measures. Material is further reinforced through competency labs during the course. Understanding the drug regimen review and your role in this important aspect of home health care is vital to your patients and your agency.
Note: This program is equally appropriate for nurses interested in understanding the drug review regulatory requirements and seeking objective practices and strategies for compliance.

In 2015 CMS added a Star Rating to Home Health Compare (HHC) to help consumers more quickly identify differences in quality among agencies. Since that time, the Quality of Patient Care Star Rating has become a highly visible indicator of agency quality and performance.
Reach for the (FIVE) STARS provides an in-depth look at the 7 outcome and process measures from Care Compare that are used to determine an agency’s composite ranking for the Star Rating. Issues related to OASIS accuracy, measure calculation, clinical implications and strategies for improvement will be discussed. Attendees will leave this workshop with an enhanced understanding of the Star Rating program, its relevant quality measures, and useful strategies to train agency staff and to make improvements in agency-specific QI activities.

This 6.5 contact hour workshop is a fun, innovative wound management program that will help you better understand the different types of wounds impacting home health payment and quality outcomes; and related assessment, treatment, and documentation strategies. Learn the latest on the OASIS wound items, basic wound ICD-10-CM Coding and keep up with the status of wound-related outcome measures. This workshop teaches you how to assess wounds accurately, provide appropriate care and then document in a manner that enhances outcomes for your patients and agency. The Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) training program provides agencies with the knowledge to jump-start their internal quality improvement program. This one-day intensive training is geared toward understanding the quality measures in the Model and then applying evidence-based strategies and tools to improve those measures. Agencies will learn how to use their data to understand their unique areas of focus for success in the HHVBP Model. Participants will leave this training with an individualized plan of action for addressing their agencies opportunities for improvement.
