Download Your New Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports

Have you seen your NEW annual Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports in iQIES? Here’s an overview.

In Fall 2023, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released two new Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports (CFRs):

  • Discharge to Community (DTC) Health Equity CFR, and
  • Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary (MSPB) Health Equity CFR.

CMS developed these reports to provide agencies with a mechanism to compare measure outcomes and identify any potential impacts or trends related to patients’ dual-enrollment status and/or their race/ethnicity. Specifically, these reports compare DTC and MSPB measure results between fee-for Service Medicare-Medicaid dually enrolled patients (duals) and non-duals, as well as between non-white and white patient populations.

Agencies can compare their DTC and MSPB measure outcomes to both the national performance score among all patients and to the national performance score among the same population. They can also compare measure outcomes for different patient populations within their agency. For home health agencies, these reports were calculated using Medicare Fee-For-Service (FFS) Part A and B claims for episodes in calendar years (CY) 2021-2022. CMS plans to update these 2 new Health Equity CFRs annually.
