With the January 15, 2025 refresh of the Provider Data Catalog (PDC), CMS has published the first publicly available data for home health agencies in the expanded HHVBP Model. Although CMS generally reports data on the Care Compare website and the PDC, for the expanded HHVBP Model, the data is ONLY available on the Provider Data Catalog website.
With the January 15th data release, there are now 2 dataset files available that list all home health agencies in the Model for CY 2023 performance year:
- Expanded Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model – Cohort Data – This file contains cohort-level data for the 2 cohorts in the Model (smaller-volume cohort and larger volume cohort)
- Expanded Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model – Agency Data – This file contains the list of active home health care agencies with data on the HHVBP performance metrics.
In addition to these 2 data files, CMS has also published an overview of the HHVBP Model on PDC under the Home Health “Topics” page of PDC with information available in “About the data” and “Measuring Agency performance”.
Expanded HHVBP Model data is expected to be updated annually.
