What changes to anticipate with public reporting of QRP data
The January 2025 Care Compare release will mark the initial public reporting of the following measure data:
- Transfer of Health Information to the Patient
- Transfer of Health Information to the Provider
- Discharge Function Score
These measures will all report data results with a data collection period of April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2023. These measures will be updated quarterly with each public reporting refresh.
The January 2025 Care Compare release will also mark the removal of the public reporting of the Application of Functional Assessment and Care Plan that Addresses Function measure data.
What changes to anticipate with public reporting of HHVBP data
The Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model confirmed in the Public Reporting Tip Sheet: Home Health Value-Based Purchasing that January 2025 would mark the initial public reporting of HHA-level performance metrics reported in the Final CY 2024 Annual Performance Report (APR) on the Provider Data Catalog.
For home health agencies that were Medicare-certified prior to January 1, 2022, and had sufficient data for at least five quality measures to calculate a Total Performance Score (TPS) and Adjusted Payment Percentage (APP) the following measure data will be shared:
- For all agencies, the applicable quality measure benchmark and achievement thresholds by volume-based cohort
- If a home health agency also qualified for a payment adjustment, their data will include
- The agency’s TPS and TPS Percentile ranking
- The agency’s annual APP for the applicable payment year
This data will be updated annually.
