by Megan Bernier, MSPT RAC-CT CHS-C COS-C

HOPE in Action training from OASIS Answers gives hospice providers the knowledge and tools to confidently meet CMS HOPE requirements. Originally launched in 2025, OASIS Answers has provided CMS based HOPE education to hospice providers across the country.

In August 2026, OASIS Answers is launching an updated version of the HOPE in Action training to reflect new and revised HOPE guidance that was published through CMS HQRP FAQs. Some of the updates include:

  • CoP requirements and APU requirements implications related to missed HUVs
  • Clarifications on how to code HOPE items
  • Information related to the two new HOPE-based quality measures

HOPE in Action Training is approximately 4 hours of training offered in 3 different formats, designed to fit your team’s schedule and needs:

  • HOPE in Action – ON-DEMAND: The most convenient option, delivering 3 hours of engaging, efficient online HOPE tool training you can access anytime, anywhere. Includes practice scenarios and section bookmarks for easy navigation.
  • HOPE in Action – IN-PERSON: An uninterrupted focused 4-hour classroom learning experience with maximum interaction. Includes a 140-page HOPE in Action Training handout and direct access to instructors for live, in person Q&A.
  • HOPE in Action – PRIVATE TRAINING: Customized HOPE education designed to meet CMS HOPE requirements while aligning with your hospice’s policies and EMR workflows. Offered as onsite or live virtual training. For hospices with 15+ staff preparing for the HOPE CHS-C Exam, a private, onsite exam administration can also be arranged.
