What’s New in Your Agency’s April 2025 Review and Correct Report

In several of our recent Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy trainings, the OASIS Answers team has heard growing buzz around the updates to the Review and Correct Reports. We’ve been able to help agencies better understand what’s happening with the newest home health quality measure included in the report.

Let’s look at some background information. Home health agencies began collecting OASIS data on the new item M0350 – Patient’s COVID-19 vaccination is up to date beginning January 1, 2025. This item is used to calculate the new post-acute care cross-setting quality measure: COVID-19 Vaccine: Percent of Patients Who Are Up to Date. This measure has a short measure name of “Patient COVID-19 Vaccine”.

Unlike other OASIS-based quality measures that report 12 months of data, the Patient COVID-19 measure reports only one quarter (3-months) of OASIS data. As this new measure reports one quarter of data, CMS can add this measure to the iQIES Review and Correct Report after collecting only one quarter of data (January 1-March 31, 2025).

The Patient COVID-19 Vaccine measure is scheduled for public reporting on Care Compare in January 2026, based on data from Quarter 1 of 2025. The correction deadline for this data is August 18, 2025. Any OASIS data added or corrected after that date will not be reflected in the January 2026 Care Compare results.

That means the clock is ticking—now is the time to review and correct your data before it becomes public.

Now, let’s take a look at some of the feedback we’ve been hearing. In recent conversations with agencies, it’s clear that not all are seeing favorable results for the Patient COVID-19 Vaccine measure on their Review and Correct Report. Several have expressed frustration and surprise at their measure outcomes.

On another note, participants in the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy trainings are often pleasantly surprised by how much they gain—not just from the presenters’ expertise, but also from the insightful audience questions. Discussions often go beyond OASIS accuracy and dive into the evolving landscape of the Home Health Quality Reporting Program. We hope to see you at an upcoming session and surprise you, too!
